U18 - Recruiting Team

At Florida Generals Lacrosse we believe that team recruiting camps (along with certain individual recruiting camps) are vital to your recruitment process.  The Florida Generals (U18) is composed of the TOP 9th-12th grade lacrosse players in the Gainesville and surrounding areas.  Unlike other summer or fall club teams, we will play as a team and under team philosophies. The goal of our U18 team is to get you seen by college coaches playing within a system that supports your abilities. We focus our time and effort in helping you showcase the strengths of your game while trying to improve your weaknesses. We will never ask you to play outside of your ability level.

The director of Florida Generals Lacrosse, Jonathan Montes, has spent more than 10 years on the recruiting circuit with SMS Elite Lacrosse (MD) placing more than 140 young men at the next level. His players have gone on to win National Championships at the DI and DIII levels. Through the relationships our coaching staff has established with college coaches at all levels, we make sure our players are seen and are never overlooked. We will help match you with the college program that fits your individual needs academically, socially and financially.

Playing for the Florida Generals you will be seen by college coaches because we will travel to where the coaches are attending high-end recruiting tournaments. Part of what makes us different is we will evaluate your ability, give you an unbiased assessment of where we think you can play and - most important - how you can improve your game. Our in-depth player evaluations and constant ongoing conversations with you will help you sharpen your game and focus your development.

With the college lacrosse recruiting landscape changing so rapidly, developing players with college level skills and college level mentalities has become even more important. If you are serious about the game of lacrosse, we invite you to try out for one of our teams. Playing for the Florida Generals is a commitment to excellence.
